Rules
Every one attending track days must have a full driving licence for there machine they are riding (A Full bike license) and bring it with them for the any day they have booked. Do not come without the license, you will not get refunded if you turn up without it.
Upon arrival to the track your motorcycle and clothing will be checked, you will be assigned a group and then all given a briefing of what to do on the track, what the flags mean, explaining the point of the cones at the side of the track and if I can arrange it there will be a video of the track showing the lines. (If you miss the briefing you will not get on the track until the afternoon).
What Time you should arrive at the track
Arrival time is between 7:45-8:00, As we plan to start the the sessions at 9am your arrival time should be between these times as you and your bike will be scrutinized this will take place between 07:45 and 08:30. You will then have to sign on. Please be prompt as if you miss this you will not get on the track until the after noon session.
Signing on will be in the club house, you and your bike must have already been checked, you will be given a sticker to show the people that are signing you in what group and to prove you have been checked.
What will be checked in scrutineering
1) Road Bikes must be road legal, e.g. They must be at MOT standard, lights, mirrors and indicators must be taped up (Enthusiastic pipes are normally ok but make sure you ask) Check that your chain is not too tight and your brake pads are not fully worn down and tyres have enough tread
2) Race bikes, these bikes must be to the ACU Standard, no lights center stand etc.
3) clothing, leathers one piece or a two piece that zips together, an ACU approved helmet good gloves and sturdy boots. The basic idea is that whatever your wearing the jacket doesn’t ride up.
Once all of the checks are over, you will be given sticker telling your your group, and once you have signed in you will be given a colour wrist band to show that you have signed the disclaimer, you must not remove these, or give them to some one else.
You will be able to change group up or down as long as there is space to do so, it is better if you come with some one from the group you would like to be in and wants to swap with you. You can only change groups by swapping your undamaged band for a new one. Come and see me (Bruce) to do this, we need to be sure the right people are in the right groups so all swaps of groups (or “borrows” of some one else’s bike) need to be cleared.
You will have a chance to re-assess your grouping after your first session.
Use your common sense don’t turn up on some UN-road worthy leaky heap that limps around. Or in jeans a paddock jacket and slippers or you will see loads of fun but have none your self.
You will not get a refund
Rules
• Do not under take some one into the apex of a bend, making the rider sit up. If you can’t do the overtake cleanly wait until you can. Do not barge others out of the way, I have never seen this on a trackday so don’t start. (this will get you black flagged, a step closer to ending your day)
• Do not ware sparking knee sliders, they will be removed as they can put other riders off and may cause an accident
• If you see a RED flag please pull over to the left hand side of the track.
• Please remember that others are there around you so if you spill any thing please make every effort to clear it up.
• Keep petrol and oils in the safety of your vehicle.
